Elephant Toothpaste and Balloon Rockets
Science in Year 6 is so much fun, especially when the children ask some incredibly interesting questions.
How many drops of water can fit on a 2p coin?
What happens when you combine two different chemicals together?
What affects how fast an object can travel?
The best way to answer these questions was to launch an investigation.
As a result of our investigations we discovered that we can fit 57 drops of water on a 2p coin, when you put two chemicals together that have different properities they produce a chemical reaction and that the shape of an object will affect how fast it can travel.
